How ABB used ContentWorks to create a practical guide to building an all-electric mine.

ABB approached Mining Magazine about developing a thought leadership white paper to coincide with their launch of eMine™, an integrated technology portfolio enabling the electrification of any piece of mining equipment from mine to port. To this end, they wanted the paper to serve as a practical guide to building an all-electric mine.

We spoke with ABB’s top experts in the fields of electrification, charging systems, digitalisation, and automation. Based on these conversations and our own research, we produced a 3,000-word white paper mapping out the technologies needed to electrify mining equipment, how these technologies interconnect with one another, and how to overcome the problems that necessarily arise when attempting to go all-electric. The paper also featured a recent case study involving ABB and highlighted what it has identified as the six key ingredients for successful electric operations.

The completed white paper was written by Mining Magazine and produced within ABB brand guidelines. The completed paper was delivered to ABB so that they could promote this across their own marketing and communication channels.

To support the publication of the paper, Mining Magazine also promoted to their own audiences via their digital channels. The paper was also hosted on a dedicated climate website produced by Mining Journal and Mining Magazine.
